Can you believe we’re already at the end of another semester?

Time has flown by, and it’s been such a rewarding few months watching our trainees develop and grow in their roles. From learning the ropes to becoming confident and capable team members, it’s clear how much progress has been made across the board. Whether in lifeguarding, swim teaching, kids sports our trainees are stepping up, building new skills, and making a real impact in their teams and communities.

This term saw the official commencement of the Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics and Recreation for our SA, WA, and VIC trainees through Southern Education. It’s been great to see the engagement in the online learning sessions, with trainees joining in from all across the country to complete their units and stay on track. These sessions have not only supported learning but also built a strong sense of connection between trainees from different states.

Another exciting highlight has been the number of training award nominations we’ve received this year! The enthusiasm and recognition pouring in from every corner of Australia have been truly inspiring. Over the past few years, we’ve proudly celebrated several of our trainees becoming regional and state finalists—and even winners—in their categories. This level of recognition speaks volumes about the dedication and talent within our program.

We are eagerly looking forward to hearing the results from this year’s awards, and no matter the outcome, we are incredibly proud of everyone who put their hand up to be nominated. It’s not just about winning—it’s about the courage to be recognised and the commitment you show every day in your roles.
